Calaveras Live with John R Burr: Brask House Concert Series

Mission Coffee Roasting Company, 151 Washington Blvd, Fremont, CA

We are pumped to be returning to Wayne and Sue's house concert series at Mission Coffee in Fremont. Greg and I have been writing a lot of new material (we've joined a song writing group which has kicked us into high gear!) and we're looking forward to sharing it with you. We'll be joined by virtuoso pianist John R Burr. John was a big part of my Silver Flyer CD so we're looking forward to playing some music from the new album. John will also join in on Calaveras songs to give things a new twist. This is a great listening room---also serves food and drink. Hope to see you there!

Songwriter Night

The Big Room at Lafayette Circle, 85 Lafayette Circle, Lafayette, CA

Greg and I will be joining forces with our friend and fellow singer-songwriter, Laura Zucker, for a songwriter night in our hometown of Lafayette. We will be hosting our songwriter friends "The Better Halves" (Chrissie and Jimmy Joe) who are coming all the way from Austin, Texas. They absolutely charmed us at the Far West Folk Alliance conference last fall and we hope to introduce you to them as well. We'll be swapping songs and stories for a fun and varied evening. The concert room is located behind Mighty Fine Guitars. Hope to see you there!

The Better Halves: Austin based, husband-wife duo reminiscent of Johnny and June, always making listeners smile. Chrissie and Jimmy Joe's talented story telling, clever lyrics, humorous boy-girl banter and blistering fast guitar have earned them features on "A Prairie Home Companion" and on NPR's "Car Talk".

James Brown Tribute Song and Video

On August 1, Universal Pictures will be releasing the James Brown biopic “Get on Up.”  In recognition of this event and for airplay in connection with it,  Victoria is releasing her cover of “I Got You (I Feel Good)” in advance of her jazz/R&B/pop album Silver Flyer, to be released later this fall. The song is just her sultry, nimble voice, dressed in nothing but a stand-up bass……check it out!
